Hilary Duff’s 4-year-old daughter didn’t let her inability to read get in the way of picking out the perfect card for her mom’s birthday. In fact, Banks’ complete obliviousness to what her chosen card read makes its unexpected NSFW message that much more hilarious.
The How I Met Your Father star’s husband, Matthew Koma, snapped a photo of the celebratory stationery for his Instagram Story. The face of the card showed a white-frosted birthday cake with multi-colored sprinkles trimming the dessert, as well as a red-iced message: “Happy Birthday D*ckhead.” Kids — they’re just the darndest!
Koma explained the cackle-inducing choice, writing, “Banks picked this out by herself for @hilaryduff. She can’t read yet.” That card is surely being filed away in a memory box to be busted out in 10 years when Banks brings her first boyfriend or girlfriend around — it’s too good to be tossed!
The 4-year-old is known for being quite the hoot. In August 2022, Duff revealed Banks had told her entire soccer camp that the actress had come down with a bad case of diarrhea. The Younger alum shared a screenshot of a gut-busting text message from another parent that read, “Banks told a story at camp…’my mom made bad chicken and now she has diarrhea … that’s what happens when you make bad chicken.’”
Earlier in the month, Duff had a friend reenact a hilarious interaction she had with the toddler. After asking, “Can you please impersonate my daughter getting into your car?” the singer’s pal inhaled deeply and said, “Smells good. Smells like French fries. Do you have French fries? Can I have some?”
After laughing, Duff asked, “How long ago?” Her friend shared, “An hour-and-a-half after getting French fries. Crumpled down the bag, put it on the floor. I mean, I didn’t smell French fries anymore, but she did.” But wait! Banks’ hilarious behavior doesn’t stop there. The friend recounted that the 4-year-old not only ate the cold fries but licked the salt off her fingers after each one. What a gal.
We cannot wait for the moment Banks strikes again — girl’s got a future in comedy!
