Corona-limitations: Stronger desire to be social with each other

A few weeks ago a number of measures have been taken to the further spread of the novel Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 limit as far as possible. Meanwhile, in this country, however massive, were decided loosening, even restaurant visits are now possible again. Many people are likely to welcome the Changes. People want to return to more normality

In addition, the proximity to other people is seen by 63 percent as a more likely route of infection – a decrease of nine percentage points compared to the previous week.

“The population is longing for a piece of normality”, says BfR President Professor Dr. Dr. Andreas Hensel on the results.

Mask obligation is accepted by most

The in the shops of the applicable provisions for the protection against infection, however, are accepted by the vast majority of the population.

The restriction of the maximum number of customers in the stores will be judged, accordingly, by 84 percent of respondents as appropriate.

Also, the requirement for a minimum distance of 1.5 metres to find other people with the broad agreement (90 percent). The Mask requirement will be also accepted by the vast majority (82 percent).

Small part takes no measures against infection

Around a third of the Survey participants said that they want themselves or their family to preserve protective clothing against infection.

The proportion of people who claim to want to be with an excess in the hands or disinfectants protect the washing, by contrast, fell to under ten percent. Only 22 percent informed not to take any measures against infection.

It also showed that the majority of the population feels in Germany as well on the novel Coronavirus informed (67 per cent).

The proportion of people who mentioned the Internet as a source of information, increased compared to the previous week by eleven percentage points to 66 percent. Still, most of the respondents indicate to use the television as a source of information (74 percent). A decline was, however, recorded the Radio, which was now called by only 24 percent. (ad)
