Kate Garraway is an English broadcaster, usually appearing on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. But the notorious virus has taken hold of her husband, and now she may have the virus too.
The anchor woman’s husband of over a decade, Derek Draper, has been in intensive care after falling ill with coronavirus.
Confirmed as having an infection with COVID-19, Kate confirmed her husband was “still very ill”.
Describing the experience as “an excruciatingly worrying time”, Kate’s now displaying “mild symptoms” of the disease.

Having been away from her post on Good Morning Britain for nearly a week now, her colleagues from the show shared Kate’s update on the situation.
Kate applauded the work of the NHS when she said: “The NHS team who have been working on him have all been extraordinary.”
She continued: “I know that it’s only their professionalism, dedication, and bravery that has kept Derek with us so far.”
She added: “I also know that they are working just as hard on all the patients in their care.
“It’s hard to find the right words because thank you alone just doesn’t seem enough, but I do thank them with all my heart, as I know Derek would also if he could.”
The mum-of-two is now self-isolating at home with her children: Darcey and William.
On Thursday April 9, the 52-year-old shared a video on Instagram of her and her children clapping for carers.
Every Thursday evening at 8pm, the nation put their hands together to clap for carers.

The campaign is one way the country is showing gratitude to all of the NHS staff dealing with the pandemic.
Kate continued: “I am aware I’m not the only one going through this torture.
“There are thousands of families everywhere worried about their loved ones and hundreds more every day, too, who are having to deal with the worse news their loved ones have been taken by this horrific virus.”
As of 9am, on Thursday April 9, there have been 65,077 people who have tested for the virus.

Tragically, 7,978 of those affected by the virus have passed away.
More reported cases of COVID-19 and more deaths are to be expected at this time.
Authorities are concerned the Easter bank holiday, combined with the good weather, will see people dismiss the social distancing measures currently in place.
Sir Patrick Vallance, speaking at the daily Downing Street briefing, has said that it’s possible the UK is beginning to see “the curve flattening”.
However, all our efforts will have been for nothing if people break the guidance this weekend.
That’s why the government and police officers are urging people to stay at home.
The NHS simply can’t handle an increasing number of patients of COVID-19 at the same time.
Social distancing measures are set to be reviewed by the end of next week.
