There’s no denying that when it comes to Serena Williams, we are downright nosy.
So it should come as no surprise that any health or beauty tip the tennis star has to offer, instantly fills us with intrigue.
The fashion we saw from Williams at the Aus Open brought us fishnet stockings which doubled as compression tights, in a bid to help treat her on going battle with Deep Vein Thrombosis. And, when it comes to the tennis champion’s day-on-a-plate, we are even across her favourite salad toppings. Down to the last crouton and sliced almond.
With fashion and food covered, Serena has now offered up the tips we have all been waiting for. How she achieves her blemish free complexion on and off the court.
While she’s a pro within the tennis ranks, when talking to The Strategist, Williams reveals this elite skill doesn’t necessarily transfer into the beauty world. “I do my makeup really fast every morning because I’m always in a rush. I’m no pro, but it’s been fun to learn new techniques from watching my favourite makeup artists over the years.”
Finding the exact shade of foundation to suit your skin isn’t always an easy feat and Williams isn’t an exception to this challenge.
Bobbi Brown, who have long been producers of foundations which cover a wide range of shades are responsible for the Skin Foundation Stick that Williams is swearing by.
When referring to the $47 foundation stick which is sold in 43 shades (available at bobbibrown.com.au), Williams says, “I’ve always had to mix different foundation colours to find my perfect match, but this product does a really good job matching my skin all on it’s own. I can just use one shade instead of two or three.”
