With a thriving makeup line and regularly-changing hair colors, Lady Gaga's gorgeous skin is often undeservedly upstaged. The singer is positively glowing in all of the shots she shares on Instagram, including barefaced selfies. It turns out that may be because she's been working on a custom skin-care routine for herself, according to a new post — but fans think she's also hinting that a Haus Laboratories skin-care spinoff is on the way.
"First step to good makeup is #skincare. I'm a super nerdy fairy?♀️ about this. I believe almost all skin problems are cause by disruption of skin barrier and microbiome," Gaga shared in the caption of a Boomerang clip with a wintry filter. "My trick is to use solutions that balance my skin by interrupting any inflammation caused by free-radicals or products. So…I use products I develop…exclusively for me. ?"
This, of course, got fans' gears going. "WHAT DOES IT MEAN," one commenter shouted in all-caps, to which another fan responded with what so many others were thinking: "Haus labs skincare incoming."
Now, granted, Gaga did say "exclusively for me" regarding what she's been developing— but no one seems to be buying that. What they're buying (or at least preparing to) are hypothetical skin-care products from the singer.
"Ohhh skin care line coming!!" a fan wrote. "Omg haus labs skin care?? GIRRRRL YES," another said, while yet another commenter called Gaga the "queen of skin care."
As exciting as the prospect of Lady Gaga skin care may be, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise. When the internet sleuths uncovered her Haus Beauty trademark application back in 2018, it included merchandise categories like cleansers, toner, scrubs, sunscreen, moisturizer, and body products. It was only a matter of time before she actually followed through on those plans.
Allure reached out to Haus Laboratories representatives to see if they could give us a few more hints — or a giant information dump — about a possible skin-care line, and at this point, there's no comment. But as soon as we know more, you'll know more.
